ABOUT US

•  OUR FOUNDERS  •

We are two passionate teachers who enjoy teaching pre-schoolers. We have been teaching for more than 10 years.

Judy Yap (Ms.) 

Ms Judy has more than 10 years of pre-school teaching experience. Trained in both Early Childhood Education and Montessori method, she has written programmes for a Montessori infant school, and was the principal in a Montessori school. She is also a trained teacher with Kindermusik. She often keeps herself current with the primary school curriculum and believes in instilling a love for learning as a strong foundation.

Zhang Laoshi (Ms.) 

Zhang Laoshi’s years of experience have given her an edge in interacting with children, who enjoy her lessons tremendously. She has taught children in various kindergartens and childcare centres for more than 15 years. She has developed her own curriculum to enhance learning of the Chinese language.

 School Must be Fun

We believe that going to school must be fun and learning can be fun too. Our low teacher-student ratio enables more attention to be given to each child. This enables us to observe the strength and weakness of each child. Our children are given many opportunities to communicate with teachers and friends. Their ideas and opinions are also aired. We see the child’s world and introduce him/her to the wonders of our environment and the usefulness of learning.

Character Building

Character building is of utmost importance to us. Obedience to authority, respect for others, being kind and compassionate are emphasised daily. We encourage children to show their love and gratitude to their parents. Daily devotion is a must. The child is taught to love and revere the Lord.

We believe that shaping the child’s attitude and character will enhance his/her ability to learn. During class, we use hands-on materials to conduct our lessons. We use different materials and ways to enable the child to understand the concept before we move on to the next level. No child is left behind.

Nurturing Leadership Skills

We create opportunities to build leaders in our school. Each child will be taught about respect, responsibility and self-discipline. Older children will be given the chance to look after the nursery children when we are out on an excursion. We pair the children according to their readiness and ability.
